Mystic Aquarium Turns up in the Epstein Files
“It is certainly, at the very least, curious that Mystic Aquarium wrote a check for $1,075 in April 2015 to an unusual charity run by Jeffrey Epstein cohort Ghislaine Maxwell.
We now know, because of so much reporting on Maxwell and Epstein and their crimes, a lot about the TerraMar Project, founded by Maxwell in 2012, with the stated goal of ocean conservation.
It shut down in 2019, around the same time the New York Post reported the “mysterious do-nothing charity founded by Jeffrey Epstein’s socialite gal pal” was being investigated by the FBI for possible links to the convicted pedophile. …”
My column this week in the Westerly Sun looks at some connections in the Epstein files to the Westerly/Stonington area, including an email Jeffrey Epstein wrote to the disgraced head of Barclay’s Bank, as he rested on a yacht in Stonington Harbor.
